Default High Revs at Startup

I just purchased a 2006 350Z. I have observed that the engine revs surprisingly high as soon as it starts. Immeditaly upon catching the engine revs up to 2000 to as high as 2500 RPM! Immediately! This strikes me as way too high on an engine that has yet to build up oil pressure. I never recall observing this on the cars I test drove. Is this normal? This would seem to risk rapid engine wear - if this is normal does anyone know the long-term affects?

it means your motor will soon blow up because the flux capicitor isnt doing its job maintaining correct rpm's, Id def go see the dealer man...

I thought of that and already checked the flux capacitor - it seems to be running properly. But I'm not so sure about Mr. Fusion.

The internal combustion engine in the Z is designed to rev high upon startup to quickly generate 1.21 gigawatts of electricity and directing it to the flux capacitor, creating an eletrical fusion that ultimately sends the vehicle back into time to 1945

Dude the car is telling you not to start the engine and drive off quickly. You're supposed to wait 30 seconds before pulling away. 1 minute on cold, cold starts.
