Nismo just released a forged internals set for the vq35. It even comes with 8:5:1 compression pistons. I wonder if this is a clue to some sort of nismo forced induction kit for the vq http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ine&prodid=907

 

Have seen B4 but haven't heard anyone withit....might be wrong...

 

seen that a couple years ago, but the price was ridiculous and still is. Doesn't even include the nismo bearings, or rod bolts. I'd rather stick w/ wiseco pistons and eagle rods for 1,050 or GTM rods and Arias pistons for going overbuilt for at most another grand more, still a grand cheaper than the Nismo piston & rods and you'd still have to buy some ARP rod bolts.

 

Look at the piston face... there is no "squish" ring around the outside. I thought they were pretty much required for a FI piston to keep up cylinder turbulence and avoid detonation-causing hot spots. WTH?

Plus the price is crazy... no way in h*** I would pay that much for the nismo name when there are so many other cheaper superior products out there.
