I jealous. Did you really took those off a Z or another V35?

I have a set in my garage that is being packed up to sent to Altimat from the Altima board.

If you want pics of the block, rods, pistons, crank, let me know.

The intake ports are large, but the exhaust ports are the same size as the VQ30, so some enlargeing their would help, especiially for boost and juice applications. The compustion chamber is 51.5cc much larger than a VQ30. Notice the dimples in the walls of the intake port for good swirl/tumble. Some bowl work and light cleaning up is all they really need. Coating of the valves for heat rejection would also help.

I have sent the rods and pistons off as samples to have custom parts made for mass pruduction via a well known Nissan performance shop, it should be a few months before thay are ready.

Would their be any intrest in copper head gaskets?

I just want to say, I thought this subject matter of the thread meant something altogether different (i.e., dirty). LOL! should have figured it wasn't from the forum it was in, i guess.

Isn't the engine mounted differently as well? I believe its at a 90 degree mount to lower the COG.

Does Nissan use variable valve timing on all the VQ35DE engines?

Well, if you had really checked the exhaust ports they are quite a bit larger then the VQ30 and I had to do alot of grinding on the flanges that were made for the VQ30 to make the headers fit.
As far as bowl work, have you had these heads on a flow bench to confirm your suspensions ? We have, as for the combustion chamber volume you have to make it bigger because there is more bore and stroke that will lower compession ratio. duh!!!!!!

I really did check them and they are the same size. Do you have VQ30 heads to compare too, I do? Perhaps your flanges are crap?

My coment about the bowls was more directed at the fact that the ports are clean and dont appear to need much work from a DIY perspective. Flow bench, yea sure, i got one next to the valve seat grinder in my basement.

Gosh you are a genius with the cc theory, arent you.

I'm not trying to steal your thunder here doogy, so no need to scent mark your thread.

We ran the B&B(version 2 or three) headers last month at Daytona. It was 20 degrees warmer than in January test and we went faster on the banking.
