Well, actually me testing it today was like the third time me using the CC over the last 3 years, but it's still nice to know that those buttons on steering wheel are functional...

From what I've been able to determine, it looks to be a fairly straightforward relationship between the TCM and ECU. At any given wheel speed, the powertrain should be rotating a certain speed for the gear its in. Because of different factors that affect real world speed, its most likely given a range in which is deemed acceptable. The 3.538 doesn't seem to be far enough out of spec to cause serious issues, while the 3.917 is.

For people who have some issues with cruise control, I would look at your rolling wheel diameter compared to those with an issue. Also consider the ambient temperature, humidity, tire pressure, etc... But if you have a slightly smaller rolling diameter than stock, that exacerbates the variance in wheel speed vs transmission speed.

I've heard rumblings UpRev was working on a program for the TCM similar to Cipher, no idea how true that is, but if they were it could potentially be the key. Somewhere between the ECM and TCM the answer lies.

I have the Cruise control issue. I am a 6mt that went with the 3.3 Automatic gears. I noticed my trap picked up roughly 2mph, only was able to get 1 clean run in out of 4 so far this year. Maybe disconnecting the battery and reconnecting is the fix has anyone tried this?

Disconnecting the battery for an extended period (24 hours) should clear any codes and reset the ECU, but that's really about it.

I will be swaping hopefully this coming week for the manual gears the AT gears are just to long for the low power level i have im around 400 to the wheels and 3is so so to get throught but 4 and 5th is to long. Can the differential be taken out in your house or is it better to pay for it to be done thanks.
