Default How much horse from the stroker?

How much RWHP can a 4.3 liter stroked VQ Z make? is it worth it or is FI safer and better bang for the buck?

Considering there is no legit 4.3L stroker its hard to say. So your answer at this time is 0whp.

The simple math version: 82hp per liter & 79tq per liter = 352bhp/340tq @4.3L Roughly 292rwhp/282rwtq factoring a high 17% drivetrain loss (I'm sure it's lower).

Major variable here would be Ve (volumetric efficiency) so depending on how well the motor can in/exhale will determine the final +/- hp and tq gain.

Are you looking to bore and stroke?

3.8l is the only bump in displacement right now.

Unless you offset grind the rod journals. You can actually go up to 4.0 safely with a 2.5mm offset grind and rework. Using stock sized rods will lower your R/S ratio though.

Bryan Crower offers a stroker kit for the VQ now. Specs say 4.15L w/ 100mm bore.

What all would be needed to install this stroker kit? Pull the motor, take it to a machine shop to bore the cylinders, reinstall, and tune?

Why do you say there is no legit 4.3L? We have been running an AEBS 4.3L for almost a year now. With the custom GT42 turbo kit at 23psi we made 768rwhp. The turbo is not in it's efficiency range til 25-50psi. The boost curve is amazing (almost vertical ). We have not turned it past 23 as of yet but will see 40psi pulls soon.

Hmm, crazy... wonder what kind of power it would put out and what kind of RPM's it can take with their valve springs.

Not a secret at all. It has been all over the east coast at the HIN events and now the stereo is being pulled for a cage. Pics can be found below:

Very Nicely Done!

I am considering the 4.15 Brian Crowley set up... Do you sell your kit? And how much of a HP / TQ gain can you expect from each of these kis?

Thanks..
