Default Best performance mods

I currently have around 1,600 dollars, I want a chip, but i don't any companies that make one for the 350Z. I would also like to know the best modifications I could add to my 350Z that would add the best horsepower and torque that i could afford. Also has anyone else heard about that Greddy Twin Turbo that's coming out? Please reply about other subjects or with any modifications i should add. Thanks in advance.

best bang for the buck? Nitrous Kit... You have enough money already, on top of that, you can get the Injen CAI as well. That should give you around 50-100hp!!

Nitrous = Crappy

It's not usable performance. My experience is that when you need it your bottle is empty. It also puts a lot of strain on engine components. For 1600 I would get a larger TB, an intake, exhaust, engine balance/polish (unless it voids warranty). Those will give you usable performance and not make things explode.

Cmon, supercharge your car. It'll be fun

I feel like a complete idiot asking this, but what is TB? Also i hate the Eaton type supercharger, it requires a larger hood, and recomends buying a new exhaust. Not enough money for that. Where can i get my engine balance/polish? What brands would you suggest for those upgrades???

Thanks in advance...

I don't have a 350 so I don't know if any companies make them. Go to a machine shop and get them to bore yours if you really want. Give it 6 months and there'll be 1,000,000 companies jumping on the aftermarket bandwagon

Don't feel like an idiot. TB stands for throttle body. Most performance shops will balance and polish your engine but it is also expensive. As for exhaust I would go with borla all the way. Excellent sound and good performance #'s.

Should I save up for the Greddy TT coming in mid-2003???? I definately love this system. The only thing I dislike about turbo's. TURBO LAG, I hate the fact that you have to wait for the boost to kick in. I definately want a supercharger over the TT but I would still take the Greddy of course. Has anyone heard about a supercharger that's not from stillen, and isn't an Eaton type supercharger????

Most well tuned turbo's will spool somewhere around 2-2.5k. A turbo will give you huge gains and the gains from other mods such as exhaust will be make quite a bit more effective. Turbo lag doesn't matter. Right now you're driving a car with never ending turbo lag. Supercharger is definately more reliable and easier to tune but nothing beats a turbo if you have the time and money. For a good custom install be ready to spend around 6k for a turbo system

by never ending lag I meant that you have to wait a long time (forever) for boost to come on your n/a car. A garret T78 will do quite well. If you don't want to spend 1.5K on just eh turbo then I'd go with a T04. You'd get around 700-1000cfm out of the T04 and that would cause less potential damage as well. I personally feel that turbo kits are over rated. If you're anywhere near canada the only shop that I would do anything at is CWS tuning in regina saskatchewan.

All I know is that you (qualla) know your SH*^!!! 700-1000cfm what's that? I feel retarded talking to someone like you because of what you know. But I can always learn ...What are some sites that i can go to to find this Garret T78 for 1.5K?? And is that the whole kit???

cfm is cubic feet per minute. That's how much air is passing through your turbo. 1500 is just for the turbo. It'll cost about 5-6K more for everything

I don't know of any specific 350 chips. You won't find much 350 stuff right away. You'll have to give it time and let the aftermarket catch up. For turbo you'll have to go custom unless you really want a greddy product on your car.

Yeah, I hope the market responds quickly and builds some stuff for it!
