Nissan Tech please...
i am swapping a TT G35 motor out of the G and into my 350Z. https://my350z.com/forum/forced-induction/199235-project-swap.html there were a few things, like the AC compressor mounts and couple other small things that were different. now the only other thing we notice right now that might cause a problem is that a couple plugs on the wiring harness.
i will explain exactly what i mean.
we pulled up the big grommet on the pass side windshield and pulled the main ecu plug AND the "white" plug that plugs into another white plug under the dash. i was wondering what those white plugs were for?? also on the Z but not the G, on that same wiring harness that pulled out the big grommet, there is a plug with four wires in it that plugs into a clip. this clip is immediately grounded (all four wires) to the kick panel on the passenger side.
this clip is not on the G. on the bigger white plug i mentioned above. on the end of it, a couple of the actual contacts in the last 10 spots are different on the two cars.
thanks in advance if you can help at all. we figured we would just take the clip with the four wires and move it into the G so it will be grounded. then just try the ECU plug and the "big white" plug and go from there. worst case scenario we will have to swap harnesses.
thanks, only problem so far!!!
i will take a couple pictures when it stops raining

sorry, bump, this is important...
i wish i could follow more on the harness on the service manual but not knowing what that plug is for it is very very difficult to figure it out.
if i just knew what the white plug that has the locking mechanism on it like the main harness for the ecu, then i could possibly look it up and figure out if it will work or not..
thanks in advance!!

oh well, i am going to try to start it tomorrow, i will figure it out then...i was told that the white plug controlled the doors. which is great news to me!!
just dont want it to be some stupid sensor that i have no way of doing anything with...
