Has anyone tried to reach out to companies that already specialize in motor swaps just as this? The price break would be FAR better in terms rb vs. f/i vq and with that, a much larger aftermarket. One company comes to mind that does an ls1 swap into FD Rx7's and 240's, has anyone tried to contect them about doing a RB/Z swap? I believe it's Hinson and they were in the recent Sport Compact issue. I'll try and find the link...

get a hold of mckinney motorsport,to rewire the rb26dett harness to your 350z cost about 450.00 and to make the motor and tranny mounts and having the motor sitting in the car is 2000.00 more

Other than oooohhhh woooow factor. Not sure why you would put in a heaveier motor that drasticaly throw off the balance of the car. Yea lets make it front heavy that makes sense.... The R&D on the VQ is here it makes power! Seriously how fast do you want to go??? It's overall a better motor. Our VQ revs 10k rpm with drysump... Now you need custom fabrication not such a big deal. Electronics, I want everyday streetablity. I could run Motec. That's nice and cheap. I'd want Motec because I would not want to loose ABS Climate Control VDC. I'm told Motec can do those functions, however I'd need software to run it... No biggy we fly in the Motec guy. He can do it no prob. or Fly in Shane (Motec Guru)....

If the VQ is built right there is no advantage the RB has over the VQ. We have proven that fact. The record for worlds fastest Nissan is a VQ.

If you are doing a swap go nuts and put in the 5.4 Titan motor. we are building one up for a drift team out west. You should see the heads on 5.4. Oh My...

Well, the Sears drift car has had one in their Z for quite some time. Im not sure if that is the car that you are referring to, but they have used the car in many drift competitions already!

Please do! If we could get this to fit with the Stillen Supercharger/full bolt-ons 430whp/470wtp is easily achievable at 6PSI.

A little off topic but how does one even go about obtaining an RB26DETT? And how much do they go for?
