Hi All,

My 2004 Z has 20,000 miles on it. I recently got a service engine soon indicator light; the service dealer told me to bring it in and it should need a sensor replaced. However, now I am experencing some shaking with my car. I live in Texas and have been using the A/C everytime I drive. When the car is idiling, with the A/C on the car seems to want to die on me, and I also hear some knocking or a sound that just doesn't seem normal. Also, when I drive and I go about 25 mph, and I take my foot of the accelerator, rather than smoothly slowing down as has been done before, at low speeds the car rocks and shakes back and forth until I push the clutch and then the car stops the shaking.

Can someone please let me know if this is normal for a 20K car and/or is the service engine light related to this problem? Thanks!

 

Shaking, rocking and knocking are not normal. But you already know that.

 

your MAF sensor could be short.
