Question about car feeling sluggish?!?
My car has been feeling really sluggish as of late. Now Ive never tuned the car and im not sure if that would help...but the feeling when you hit the gas is that there seems to be a delay on when the car actually begins to move as oppose to when you hit the gas. Its as if there is a 1-2sec delay....like between 1-3000rpm it lags and finally picks up around 3000rpm. Ive brought it to Nissan a couple of times and they cant find anything wrong and the car runs fine...it just lags.. Could this be a tunning issue? I don't have gauges so I can't tell but my car also gives out a STRONG smell of gas which ive been told that the car might be running too rich. Anyone have suggestions of what could be the issue?
performance mods are: JWT Popcharger, Alphawerk headers, Apex-i N1 exhaust, custom Y-pipe and custom Test pipes.
thanks.

is start with the basics. Clean your Popcharger. ($20 for k&n recharger)
Then Check your plugs for fouled plugs. Even though your plugs are set to last close to hundred thousand miles. After changing them car should perform better. ( 50-60$ for a set)
Flue system cleaner. $15 for chevron techron concentrate.
Then reset ECU. Use the technosquare instructions on this site.

Its just general maintanance... cheep and affective but makes teh car feel brand new again.

Your engine is going to produce significantly different power levels, based on engine temp, ambient temp, and atmospheric conditions. Dynos correct for these things, but the engine is still physically producing less power at the wheels, or more. Even wind, and road type can make your car feel slower or faster. Just a thought.
