Thanks.

Hi,

I have HKS Hipermax LS installed on my car and had it lowered 3/4". The ride quality is not harsh, it rides just slightly firmer compared to stock. Most importantly it eliminates the bounce we face on the stock setup.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the review. I understand the height is adjustable. Can you set it to NOT lower the Z? Thanks.

Default How many clicks (dampening) for the front and rear?

Just want to get an idea what dampening people use. Thanks!

Hi all,

The Hipermax LS is only height adjustable (HKS recommended height setting is rather close to stock) and the dampening can't be adjusted.

The car gives greater confidence during cornering, however, I can still feel a very slight bodyroll during a fast sweeping corner. But the kit makes up for itself by not being too harsh during normal cruising. But your car will still "jump" abit if you run over a raised bump on the road too fast.

I think I'll try to summarise my own opinioned pros and cons of the kit to answer more questions you guys may have.

Selling point:
- Double layered front upper pillowball mount (this removes those irritating clonking noise that you would normally hear on single layered pillowball mount system)
- Height Adjustability
- Provides a firm but none to harsh ride (good for occasional racer type of driver)

Cons:
- No dampening adjustability restricts fine tuning (more serious trackie may prefer to go with JIC or Tein Coilovers)
- No camber adjustment kit available yet to complement the system. (I'm running approximately -2.5 degrees rear camber with a drop in 3/4" height on the street. It is going to eat up my tyres real fast. I'm waiting for some company to release a camber adjustment kit for the rear before dropping lower)

Hope this helps further!

3kgto,

How is the RIDE compared to stock?

Is the "BOUNCE" corrected?

Thanks!

Yes it does, according to 3kgto. Look at his first post at the top.

not sure If I understand it, it get rid of the "bounces" but it's firmer? is this possible? I thought if it's firmer, then it would still bounce? maybe someone can explain a little? I am new at this suspension thing.. Thanks!

Yes, a little more detail would be great as I'm considering these coil-overs. I'm interested in eliminating the bounce, not lowering the Z and keeping about the same ride firmness.

- Yupe it does remove the bounce and you can maintain the original height. As for the firmness, I think the LS is the closest to stock when compared to other kits offered (or none others I can think of at this point in time)
