+1 on Frank, I was there the 1st day he was working, it was a Friday (1 day before the AAM BBQ) IIRC. Long story short we needed to swap plugs on my car on the dyno, it was LATE, he was around and with no hesitation offered to help to let Mike continue tuning. Even talking to me during the process it took him 10 minutes, hes an awesome guy, I bought him some beer for thanks

Frank may be a great mechanic but who does the retail side? They need some more people in that department or something.

Im just going to ship it back to the address and dispute it through the CC company.

I'll chime in here just to say that last Thursday, august 31st I bought a cipher from them, and someone called me to verify my shipping address, and had the thing shipped out the same day.

Then it got here on schedule on Tuesday, would've come monday if not for the holiday.

So... maybe they're just really busy, but I had a decent experience with them so far.

Ive bought stuff before too and havent had a problem. Ive never had to return anything though. Im sure this was just a mix up, but not being able to reach anyone and then never calling back like they said they would.

MEATBAG-

Please email me, the reason that we have been slow to get back to people is due to the fact that we were short handed for awhile (for the last 2 weeks it was just me, and im new). Now we are back up and running fully staffed on the retail side of the house. We worked out the bugs on our email server and now we are having problems with our phone system, so the fastes and best way to get ahold of me is thru email. I hope we can work out the probles that you are having, and I will make it up to you.

Thank you,

David Geipe

Ray:

Why would you revive a negative thread (twice) that had been put to rest a week ago. And then do it with arrogance saying that you don't return calls promptly because "you have cars from all over the country wanting you to work on the car it gets busy".

I have never worked with you guys, so I can't say whether you're good with 350Z's or not, but one things is clear-- this thread makes you look like arrogant and bad business people.

Good luck, and I hope like you say that you'll be around for a while.

Ouch^^ should have let this die guys. Saying "if you contact us we can always fix the problems" isnt very smart, he started the thread because he couldnt contact you...glad to see your fully staffed though, now AAM can get back to how they used to be.

dont take it out of context we are simply letting everyone know that we are not ignoring anyone. we were under staffed and doing our best to keep an order of things. we appoligize if there was any confusion or misunderstanding.

I think its funny how you say I should have contacted you. Did you not read the thread? The whole point was that i was trying to contact AAM and I was not getting anywhere.

Im glad you brought this back up to let people know the attitude you have Ray.

I called and sent emails over a week and a half period. Voicemail is always full email servers always down, whats next?

I did finally get a response from David after he posted in the thread and I sent another email to an address he provided, and he said just send the part back and it will be taken care of and I thank him for being nice and prompt after he was personaly aware of the problem. So props for David. If I ever need anything ill make sure to only deal with him.

It is very rude of you to insinuate that I did not try to contact AAM.

meatbag I don't think Ray was trying to deny that you tried to contact him...

He's just saying that anytime you are ABLE to contact them, they will take care of you.

If they were indeed shortstaffed then that's a pretty reasonable thing to say, but Ray could've said it in a less ambiguous / more apologetic way.

Im glad you guys are fully staffed now.

Little upset this past Saturday, drove the whole way down there and no one was home. It said on the Door open 10:30 to 2:30. Was going to buy a spacer.

No hard feelings. Glad things are getting back to normal.

I know some vendors refuse to do business with them due to their LACK of quality.
