Default gaining more power of a stock Z

Hey guys,

Besides turbo charging the Z, are there any mods you can do to increase the power of a stock Z?

Cams, re-map the ECU, exhaust, manifold?

Just curious to see what you can get done and what gains you get.

Thanks

I did use it! And what i gathered was there is hardly any gains unless u turbo charge it. But I was hoping someone has gained some significant power without turbo charging it!

NOS would be the cheapest route. Probably about half the cost of FI.

I think its illegal anywhere but the track. A popcharger is a filter and NA is by far the most costly for minimum gains.

i heard test pipes/y-pipes/pop charger/plenum spacer/underdrive pulley will be your best bet for NA and they are mostly DIY...good luck mate.

As with any vehicle, mods will increase torque and hp. There are many useful tools to find your answer. Intake, exhaust, spacer, HFC, larger plenums, NOS all increase hp. All depends on how much hp you want and how much you want to spend.

If you look around you will find some dyno printouts from people who have installed mods, and how much power they made.

If you're serious into creating an NA monster, look into the stroker kits. I believe they run the car at 4.3 liters. Be prepared to be spending more than FI for this route though.

The majority of available NA gains can be made with:

1) plenum spacer and/or MREV2
2) test pipes
3) exhaust
4) UTEC

After that you can get headers and cams but it gets real co$tly.
There is also a 3.9 final drive to give a good kick.

The most bang for ur buck mods NA you can do is pop charger, spacer/MREV2, test pipes, y-pipe and a crank pulley.
