Default differential question

Hey everybody, I found a nail in one of my rear tires and it was too close to the sidewall to be safely patched so it must be replaced. The tires have about 4000 miles on them not a lot of wear but some. Was wandering if I just replace the one tire will this cause problems with the differential due to one new and one slightly worn tire? BTW it is a track edition diff.

I had the same thing happen to me on a trip down to Florida from NJ. Picked up a nail in a rear tire, 2000 miles after I just bought all new tires. I haven't had any problems.
