Update - finally talked to the head guy in the tech department. Nissan requires them to tear down the old motor first to see what failed and if its cheaper to fix it. Should know in a few days what failed inside. He said i should be getting a new engine.
I work at the Nissan dealership in Midland. We had an Armada do the same thing and Nissan had us tear it down also. We only replaced the head.

This Armada that Im talking about had just come in from the factory on a transport. So basically it had no miles on it.

<---3 quarts low on first change. Next change I was 1.5 quarts low after 2700 miles. Using Mobil 1 5w-30 as the manual recommends just without the Mobil 1 part. btw, I change my oil every 3,000 miles regardless of what I use!!!! Its going in after my next 1500 miles for its consumption test.
