Default New clutch disk, old everything else...

Just had new tranny put in today, and they also replaced the clutch, ONLY the disk. Apparently that's all they are required to replace per warranty for the tranny. I have put maybe 20 miles of city driving on it since then, and the tranny is beautiful, but the clutch seems to be chattering/slipping going into first from dead stop. Is this cause there is a "break in" peroid for a new clutch, or does it have to "conform" to the old flywheel and pressure plate. OR..(LOL) did they mess up? Gonna call and git it on record reguardless, since clutch isn't normally covered. Thanx!! sorry so long! P.S. I have been babying it too, no dumping etc.

did they scuff up the old flywheel so it will mate up with the clutch disc? if not the disc will not catch as well. i am in the middle of getting my transmission swapped and due to my rps flywheel/clutch setup i chose to replace it with a stock turbo 300zx clutch which is about the same as our stock clutch minus 100kg clamping force. rps setup their flywheel to work with the 300zx clutch...

Honestly i don't know if they scuffed it. I would assume they did, since it prob doesnt take too long. If they didn't will it "break in" eventually?? I'm gonna put about 800 miles on her this weekend going to see my brother, hopefully everything will "seat" by time i get back. If not ...back to the dealer she goes again! LOL

think of it like this...with no clean/rough surface for the disc to mate to it will catch and slip...the disc need something for it to grab onto to break the surface tension of the material on the clutch
