Judging by your 13.8 @ 102mph 1/4 time, you do it no faster than 5.5 seconds, no slower than 6 seconds

Then get a G-tech Accelerometer and see what you got. That'll get you pretty close and should cost you about 3k-3500 bucks in parts.
He said 0-60... a 3.9 FD would force him to shift to 3rd gear to hit 60.

Honestly.. just get some nice drag radials or autocross tires for the rear.

0-60 is important to me because I'm not a strip drag racer. I like to come off a stop light and get up to the speed limit really fast without breaking it. Thats my thrill.

Worried about getting to 60mph fast is no different from a drag racer wanting to hit good 1/8 or 1/4 times. Like I stated, you want that ability to launch out on most cars, run DR's on stock rims in a 265/40 size, run them @ 30psi and enjoy the traction. I suggest you actually go to the track and improve your driving there, the times dont lie, if you go in running 14.1 aim to lower your times, as you do, you know your driving your set-up better. That advantage alone is better than saying "I hit 0-60 in 5 flat" anyday.

Do you not enjoy the feeling of accelerating quickly? I think getting from 0-speed limit is a good alternative to speeding. Gives you that thrill but you don't need to risk getting a ticket (for the most part). Just my two cents.

cheapest way to get 0-60 in 5 flat?

buy a go-cart chassis and slap on a GSX-R 600cc motor/tranny. Guarantee you'll reach 0-60 in better than 5 flat

I say turbonator will work the best. C'mon 754+whp just from spending $29.95 on a turbonator.

yea if the speed limit is 60 mph, i would love to see you go 0-60 full throttle off a street light with a cop in the next lane, thats great...then when he pulls u over tell him u stopped @ 60 and see if it matters...

That's why you don't do that when a cop is sitting right next to you.

Haha, to me its a cocktease... "Lets run ***** out for 5.5 seconds!"

I don't 1/4 mile much, but I do it once in awhile because its fun but I think its a lot better than running 0-60. Besides, most of my racing thrill comes from auto-x/tracking the car. Once in a while an entry ramps can be fun.

Besides, I've had six speeding tickets in as many years. I don't need to try and attract any more attention than I've gotten.

Dude, If its just the feeling of acceleration you're looking for, why do the numbers matter? My stock Z pushes me into the seat nicely in 1st and 2nd.

The numbers matter for me, because I want to be faaaaaaaast.

My warranty is killing me. I want to void it so bad.
