Whats the cheapest way to get my 0-60 to 5.0 Flat?
hey guys i know the 350z is rated at like 5.3 or something for 0-60 (at least i think). Anyway i want it to be comparable to a c5 0-60 and I'm pretty sure those are rated at like 5 flat. So what are the cheapest mods i can do to achieve this?
^That's what I was thinking. Nitrous is definitely the biggest bang for the lowest price. I don't know what the OP's version of "cheap" is, but it's just an idea.
No iti wont. Real time, fastest 0-60 i coudl see in a MT Z driven by regular joe is like 5.8ish. You need better tires, and NOS or weight stripping. NA mods wont give u anything other than nice sound. Since its through only 1 and 2 gear, NA mods wont do ****.

I thought mags were posting the pre 05 MT Zs in the range of 5.3s for 0-60
+1. The reason you see magazines get great times is because they follow the IIMCD protocols. (I isn't my car, dude). Rev the engine to be in the optimal powerband, let clutch slip to point of best power transfer to rear wheels without breaking loose (at least too much), and hope nothing breaks or wears out before you are finished testing. Some cars are treated more harshly than others to get the great magazine versus real life times (e.g. Honda S2000).
*EDIT* I just wanted to add, to get a better idea of normal acceleration, look at the 5 - 60 mph times that some magazines list. You might be surprised to see that even though they have less speed to make up, they are usually 0.5 to 1.5 seconds slower in getting there.
