Default jwt new clutch smell?????????

Just got the new tranny on warranty, and while it was out replaced the clutch with the jwt. After i get home every night when i park in the garage it smells up the place like clutch. I only have a few hundred miles on the new clutch so im hoping is the breaking in organic thing going on as i dont slip the clutch at all. Anyone else heard of the jwt smelling a bit at first??

Something might be installed wrong or you're seriously slipping it too much. Mine never smelled that I can recall. However my friends 05 G35 might have been.

When I had a new clutch installed in my G I smelt that smell for the first couple hundred miles until it was broken in. If it keeps smelling then take it back and have it checked out. The break in period is usually 500 miles of city driving.

It will smell if you drive hard on it. Usually after installing a new clutch you want to break it in. Take it easy for a couple of hundred miles and all the moving parts will settle in. After you break it in, you shouldn't have that clutch slippage smell.

don't worry to much. i burnt my clutch on my 06 in 7000 miles. i know funny. so i put a spec clutch and flywheel in and that smell went away after 600mi of driving like a grandma. the whole time within the breaking in peroid it was smellin pretty good. so after 6 or 700 miles there is still is a smell i might have it checked out...
