Warranty
I see that a lot of people are adding the grounding kit and the Injen air intake. Does anyone know if this has an effect on the warranty? Or is this a subjective based on the dealer and their willingness to work with you.

Warranty
Most after market bolt ons will not void your warranty. Check out the Magnuson Moss warranty act that is designed to protect consumers.
However the catch is if a mod on your car CAUSED the problem then it is yours to deal with and warranty will not cover it. So for example you install a new suspension and it causes some sort of tire wearing problem...no way will that be covered. Or if you install say a turbocharger or supercharger --- kiss your entire power train warranty good by from the front all the way to the rear diff.
A lot of dealers will try to bully consumers who have simple after market parts like cold air intakes or catback. They will refuse to honor your warranty say for a bad tranny because they will claim you modded the car and the warranty is void. NOW THIS is simply a lie and deceptive. In the Magnuson Moss act there is provision that says if your warranty will not be honored then the dealer or car manufacturer MUST prove that your mod caused the problem.
Generally once you wave this in the dealer's face they will back down and honor the warranty. I have had to do this several times over the years and always won quite easily just by saying the name Magnuson Moss Act.
