All I need now is the total length of the VQ35DE + 6mt, Width and Height of the VQ plus the measurement from the Front of the tranny to the shift likage point.

ANY BODY GOT A POWERTRAIN SITTIN AROUND??? Please get a tape measure out and hook it up.

Another thing you might want to consider is the fact that a true LS7 utilizes a dry-sump oiling system. So that is something you may want to look into. The FD that was in the USCC had an LS2 with LS7 heads. You can build a 427 LSx engine for less than what a crate LS7 would cost. Keep us posted as this is a swap that I would LOVE to see happen.

I remember seeing a video of an old school 280Z with an LS motor. That thing was STUPID fast.

Anyway +1 on the new LS2's. A new block can be had for $1k at scoggin-dickey and a nice built 408 with LS6 heads, cams and LS7 intake can net you over 500hp.
