Ran into a bit of a problem today during my install...For starters, that bracket that needs to come "off" of the old shifter and onto the new one gave me FITS!! Is that why people were just buying replacements? Im fairly certain two of the ears inside that bracket snapped...It didn't fall completely off but it is cracked...I continued with the install because the 2 dealerships in the area that I called said they didn't have those in stock...

1. Am I at serious risk with that? Does anyone know what Im talking about?

2. The car shifts and feels great. However, Im getting a very LOUD vibrating noise. It sounds like a piece of something isn't secure and is able to rattle around. Did anyone else experience this? My shifter still has about 1/2 inch left of space to be tightened until its FLUSH with the leather boot..Could that be the problem? I've tried turning it more, but I must be a serious sally...Cause that damn thing aint moving...

The vibrating noise is NOT something you can live with in daily driving...But Im pretty sure its fixable...Im most concerned about that bracket that snapped...Any thoughts? Im worried sick...
