Anyone have an aftermarket dash display like the AIM or Stacks units?

Just wondering what i might be getting myself into.

 

I only know one person that started down that road, and quickly turned around.
Greg from Injected Performance. Looked @ placing the MM dash in his Z.

 

I put a Stack on my 240, but unless you wanna redesign the dash on the Z, I don't think it would be worth it.

 

Defi cluster FTW!!!

I don't think total "redesign" is necessary. Just remove OEM cluster and put in the aftermarket cluster in the space. No dash necessary to mod so a cluster could fit w/o the hassle.

 

I'll wait to see who can do this install cleanly.

 

The Defi cluster is nice, but they are still working the bugs out of it. I was thinking of keeping the stock dash in place and putting the stack unit on top of it and making a trim panel around it to make it look like its part of the gauge cluster.

 

Stack is my choice all the way. Plus, with the Defi, you have to get it direct from Japan as they not selling them to any US dealers.
