I keep having a code pop up for the Crankshaft Position Sensor. At around 5500RPM the car will start to buck- like hitting a rev limiter or a fuel cut. Normally I disconnect the battery over night and the next day it runs fine... until the code comes back. Can anyone help me out, and tell me where the sensor is? I tried looking [for about 5min with a camera phone light].
Also, if I just disconnect the battery and turn on the headlights will it reset the ECU faster, instead of waiting over night?

There was a recall on some of the 03 Z's for a defective crank sensor. You have a G and didn't mention what year but I guess it's possible for them to have the same problem too.
Supposedly, if you disconnect the battery and press on the brakes that is supposed to drain the power and reset the ECU quicker.

Everytime I've done a reset the ECU by draining the battery, my car would never start properly when the engine was warm. Just a warning if you happen to do it that way.

I have a 04.5, and have noticed the hard starting... but if I cycle the key 2 or 3 times its usually better. Id rather have a hard start then CEL. Alot of times, for me, they go hand in hand. On a rough start the code for Crankshaft is there. I'm sure the engine can't tell exact position sometimes and thats why its doing what it is...
