Default Rev-up engine

Alright, i have searched the forums. i looked through the top 100 asked questions. didnt find the answer. what exactly is the difference between the rev-up and non rev engine? I am not real into all of the modding, but i love the z. can someone please explain this to me?

Dude, you couldn't be so wrong. That's called rev matching.

You must of not searched to far. Non rev-up is the motor with 287 hp.

The rev-up is the 300hp motor with increased RPM of 400 which the rev limit is 7000. The non rev-up is only 6600. It also has variable exhaust cam timing and different lower plenum design. This increase of hp caused to have less TQ numbers.

the rev-up has Vtec.
