5AT won't switch into manual mode

There's no way to check A/T fluid level either.... I know because I've looked in the manual myself... which would be my first guess.

yes there is, behind the intake manifold, next to the fire wall, theres a nice long dipstick with A/T tranny fluild labeled on it. but theres a 10mm bolt u need to unscrew in order to check it. the bolt is only there to hold the dipstick down to withstand vibrations.

There is no bypass that I know of---It is either a malfuntion in ur Manual Mode Switch or the Turbine Revolution Sensor

Im probably wrong , but I thought I had read that early models didnt have a dip stick . I Dont think mine does [G35 ] Im going to look for sure now . You had to have the dealer take out the plug and put in a dipstick . They didnt want you filling it with the wrong fluid . They will only take Nissan fluids .
