I doubt they'll lmake a change like that so quickly(3.7), especailly as long as it took for the 07s to come out, maybe 09 at earliest but only time will tell.

This is true.

I already have dyno proven systems, but now that the 3.7 is comming out I would really like to know if it will work on the same exhaust configuration as all the prior years.

The 3.5 HR fits no problem, but if it also works on the 3.7HR it will significantly reduce production costs to due a larger market.

I'm hopeing we will have more information on the 3.7 HR soon.

i know it fits the hr, my question was will it make add as much power on the hr as on the de. cause u said that i put down 20 more hp, say 15 on a dynojet. my car dyno'd at 265 (dynojet), so 280 (dynojet) with exhaust would be pretty sweet, that means i'd only have 20 more to go to get to the magical 300whp (again dynojet)

before u also mentioned the possibilty of doing a variable intake manifold, any updates on progress about that?

this makes me wonder if 300 whp, or 325 on ur dynopack (i dyno'd at 265, u dyno'd an hr at 290, 290-265=25) is possible with bolton's only on the hr

ps

do u (or anybody) know if high flow cats made for the pre-07 will fit the 07? i'm not sure if the headers in the same place with the block being taller and all

Wont know untill its tested on a HR.

Yes, I am anxiously awaiting more info on the 3.7HR. I wont start on such a big project to only have it usable on one year of Z. (2007) Weather its the same or different, I will baseline the design on what ever the 3.7HR manifold is.

isn't the 37hr manifold one of those that doesn't have a throttle body, just uses variable valve lift as the throttle like bmw's v8

just to be clear,
if the 08 z still has the same engine as the 07 z, then the variable manifold is a go, if its different its a no go?

The unfortunate thing is that scenario is a remote possibility considering the track record.

+1 Bigger better engine is a plus but lets just pray that Nissan doesnt **** up the redesign of the Zed like they did with the G37.

Already did that big time.

But I'm still not done. I can still make it better and I would really like to see this work on all the VQ's.

Hydra,

How far are we away from testing an exhaust on the 07? Im really mod itchy....think I should just throw on some resonated test pipes for now? Those should def. give power on the HR right? And the exhaust is the same as before, so it should be a direct bolt on right??

Don't hold your breath. I've been waiting over year. I ended up just buying an HKS exhaust.

Tony has indicated that it is a holding pattern for now until he can test on the 08... he wants to have product for all model years at the same time.... I'm sure the wait will be worth it. He hasn’t put out anything that wasn’t worth the wait.

he was talking about the intake manifold when he said that. the exhaust will fit 03-06 cause thats what its getting developed on, and according to hydra, it will bolt right up to the 07 also
