Default transmission warranty ?

anyone know if nissan will replace my tranny even if your z is moded? i have an 05 350z with exhaust, intake, test pipes, and kenetix plenum. 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear grind. 5th not all the time. so has anyone ever had their trans. replaced without having to take off aftermarket parts?

It all depends on the dealers. Some deals are mod friendly and some are not. Good luck.

You can often motivate service writers/service managers and technicans to ignore mods...........depending on your take you to lunch, and drinks after work, champagne, presents for their wives SKILLS.

It takes a delicate hand to avoid the appearence of a bribe mentality.

Some times CASH is what it takes as a last resort.

They get 65% of revenue from Nissan warranty and don't want to be punished or lose that golden egg by getting caught...........happens all the time. Why service managers get fired at Nissan insistance.

Those that bring cars in for oil changes, spend money with dealership, are friendly with employees, not advaseral. BUDDIES are likely to be treated as buddies.

i just broguht my car in for this problem, and my father is a big customer for their parts department with his body shop/mechanic shop. they couldnt duplicate the grinding, then when they did with me in the car the advisor suggests its possibly abuse to be grinding that fast. he says the car is designed to be granny shiftied. too bad being designed with synchro's means being designed purposely not to granny shift. i let them know im a technician at a dealer and i understand how **** goes just so they dont try to give me the run around and BS me. im expecting an answer on yes or no if its warranty tomorow.

my mods are plenum spacer, jwt intake, strup test pipes.
