Default Help! Nismo Ti shift **** and know wont stay in gear all the time1

I just installed the nismo ti shift **** yesterday on my 06 z. As soon as I took it out for a test drive i noticed that 1st and 2nd were a little bit harder to push into then before. Then once I drove it around when going into 4th it would not go in sometimes? I figured it was me just getting used to the new shift ****, but then when I was crusing last night I was going into 4th and it went it fine after I got used to it, but then when driving it came out of gear! I dont know how that happend but its done it about 5 times now and only on 2nd and 4th gears. I also noticed that when I push the clutch in and come out of either 2nd 4th or 6th that the **** comes out extra quick almost poping out. Is there something that I need to adjust underthere or what?

did you brace the stick when you removed the stock shift ****? sounds to me like you bent or broke something.

Yep it was braced just like the directions said. One time when twisting it i slipped and my buddy holding the brace let it go into 1st. Could this be the cause?

I was scared doing this myself. even after bracing it, I still felt like it was twisting too much. but I have had no problems. G/L on your prob.

Definitely take it back to the dealer, but put the stock **** back on first. Don't tell them that you changed the **** yourself. I have a feeling the linkage was damaged during the stock **** removal.

eh, we alread figured this out. I went ovet to help him w/ it and it turns out that when he took off the stock ****, it twisted so much that the rubber seal thingy under the boot twisted itself into a bunch, which made the shifter really tight and kept pulling it back out of gear...easy fix

your welcome man

haha
