Catch can that you can open up to get to internals?
I want to add a catch can, but want there to actually be something in there to help separate the oil from the vapor instead of just an empty can. Not paying for ARC; are there any that can be opened up to stuff it with steel wool? I was looking around and most look to be sealed cans, save for the holes for the fittings (how do you empty these things easily?).
I saw a pic of the older style Greddy can (sqaure one) and it looked like the top could be unbolted and opened up; anyone have one of these that can confirm? I'd prefer the Cusco, but I don't see any way inside that one, either...

+1. I'm going to look around . Let me know if you come across anything.

Here's the Greddy that looks like the top can be unbolted:

Like to hear from someone that actually has this can to confirm, though...

The sight tube is a cool thing, but to be honest after a while it turns ugly *** brown from the oil. With no site tube you could just make it a habit of checking it every oil change.
Happy to hear the gears are making someone happy. They were just sitting there for me.

It looks to be identical to the Greddy for much less $. I just want something I can open up and stuff with something for the oil to condense on. No flashy name on it, but the red anodization would match my Stillen Torque dampener and master cylinder brace... Should I go for it or just get the Greddy?

How did it work out for you?

Can is very nice. I opened it up and lut a hunk of bio-filter plastic foam sponge inside for the oil to condense on (you can get this in the fish tank filter section of your local Petsmart). Still working on installing it. I had planned on mounting it to the Popcharger heat sheild, like I have seen others, but I'm not dure it's going to work out. I think the fittings and hoses are going to stick up too high and the hood will hit them, so I'm researching more and stuck for the moment....
*update*
Ok, well, the old style Greddy-type can (square w/ top fittings) will not fit mounted to the popchrger heatsheild without modification. I unscrewed the hose fittings from the top of the can and simply siliconed some 3/8" fuel line tubing directly into the holes of the can. This lowered them enough for it to work. For aesthetics, I put a couple of clamps at the base of the hoses where they go into the can; they don't do anything, but at least make it look like it isn't redneck engineered. If I had to do it over (and I may, if this doesn't hold up), I'd get the new style Greddy or the Cusco can, which have the hose fittings mounted lower on the sides of the can. Only reason I got this one was to match my under-hood color scheme (red anodized to match my ground kit and Stillen TQ dampener and master cylinder brace). Oh, well, live and learn... it's not ideal, but this should work out. I'll post up pics once it's all together; I still need to run the lines and tidy them up.
