The first: Ogura Racing Clutch =)
As far as I know it's the first
It is extremely smooth but is so grabby that it shudders(grab slip grab slip grab) in first gear when taking off at low rpms.
Installed by Z Car Garage.
However, I have a couple of questions. According to the manual it says that I absolutely have to have 10-15mm of freeplay in the clutch.
However, in my case, there is 0 free play. This will wear out the clutch prematurely for sure. The instructions are japanese so rob probably didn't do any adjustments.
The clutch disengages as soon as i set my foot on the pedal.
The question is how do I introduce freeplay into the clutch? According to the manual it has something to do with the release cylinder rod.
This has nothiong to do with the clutch engagement DIY. The engagement point has been adjusted properly and is perfect. but no matter how you tweak the rod at the clutch pedal, it's not going to introduce free play...
Please chime in.

not the first...Ogura is the same as OS Giken, which quite a few of us have
tell your shop to do the adjustments - you don't need english instructions to make the adjustments, there is only one way, and it's via the clutch rod
the clutch is hydraulic...there is very very very little adjustment on such systems, so best bet is adjusting the rod to factory levels and calling it a day

Ogura has a 75% market share in the world. They make everybody elses clutches. Now for you adjustment. If you cant on the slave try on the master.
And my god what would you need that clutch for. A single plate 409 will take 400hp all day and thats a 709 single or double those are 1000hp clutches.
Oh by the way I was looking at the GT 5 plate 8" for the vq and WOW

My clutch pedal lowers itself in the morning. I have to pull it up with my feet and pump it a few times before it returns to its original position...any idea what's going on?

definitely not the first, and probably grey marketed too since I know that none have been sold via the US ORC distributor.

they are currently setting up dealers and distribution at the moment. the deal was made during D1 this past year and should hit full steam by June. i'm certain they'll be on here with info when the time comes.

Interesting...I never knew that an a dealer had to be an authorized dealer for a specific country. I figured that since Nengun was a authorized ORC dealer in Japan, it didn't matter where the shipped it too...oh well.

there are territorial and regional dealers for products. for example there is an endless usa, so all endless products sold in the united states are supposed to be bought through them by dealers. just like mackin for rays products as well, if you're in the united states the wheels have to be imported via mackin and sold through their dealer network. there are of course going to be people who go around this if the cost is cheaper, but you will most likely not receive product support if you have issues.
bulletproof is actually not the exclusive authorized dealer, they were given a test run by ORC but were not very impressive and lost the rights. now it's the other company that is dealing with ORC which is being run by a hand picked person by the managing director of ORC.

Why different websites and product lines? I don't believe OS Giken offers a single plate clutch/flywheel w/ silent option (spring b/w plate and flywheel) in addition to dampeners, which Ogura does...
