Using the Multi-Gauge
Have any of you utilized the timer within the mutli-gauge? I notice that many of us have ditched it in favor of a more useful alternative. I remember reading on here sometime ago that someone was using this to get a guesstimate on how his modifications affected performance.
For instance, he would start at say 3k and accelerate, simultaneously starting the timer and stopping it as the rev-limiter hit. Have any of you done this? I know that this is horribly inaccurate and by no means should be a standard method of measurement. It would really only be useful to the person doing it since their start/stop times would be consistent only with their own.
I tried this the other night, before and after I installed my test pipes, and I did clock a different time, as expected. I did it a few times to get an average. And then used that to gauge how much improvement the test pipes made.
Thoughts?

We have used it as a lap timer on the track. Other than that it's a great way to calculate our girlfriend's/wive's perception of hunny...i'll only be a minute!
