Default How quick can you shift into first?

After getting my clutch/flywheel installed, I realize that I can't shift into 1st gear quickly(No the car is not moving so no flaming please).

It's notchy only when going into first gear. Takes a full second to get it in. The rest are smooth. This doesn't interfere with spirited driving but in those emergencies where I have to throw it into first and get moving. There might be a problem.

I forgot but do other clutches behave like this?

i think its that way to prevent misshifts. cuz shifteing in2 first while driving = end of everything.

i think it is just the difference between a meatier clutch kit and the stock clutch. I wont tell you it is going to get all better with age, but i expect some of the stiffness you experience is just a brand new clutch breaking in. Take into consideration the clutch is designed different so moving into, or downshifting into certain gears will feel different upon swapping your clutch. (you'll either learn to love it or hate it)

Feels like it has to take a second. No matter how fast or strong I push it in. I can push it softly and it still goes in but has 1/2-1 second wait time before it goes in. It feels like running into a wall and then a second later the wall breaks open.
