Default ACT street clutch/ACT Pro Flywheel review

Well, I have my new ACT clutch setup broken in now and promised a review.
The pedal was really stiff at first, but now it feels just right. (probably just me getting used to it) There IS chatter below 1900 Rpms, but nothing more than what others told me to expect. It's not terrible, but now that my Z has "motorcyclesque" throttle response the chatter is of NO consequence. The acceleration is TONS better and the car seems to pull more throughout the hole rpm range. I highly recommend this clutch setup, especially since the flywheel is 16.8Lbs less than the stock pig of a flywheel. (dropped from 30Lbs to 13.2)
I bought my setup from Candaddy350z in the marketplace, and recommend them
for this purchase. FAST delivery, really helpful/friendly service, and GREAT pricing. If you have to replace your clutch get THIS one. Total cost from Nissan for a stock clutch installed was $1100. Total cost to me for this whole setup including install price and red_line MT90 (5qts to be safe) was $1280. You'd have to be nuts to not pay the extra $180 for a WAY better clutch setup...the best bang for the buck I have put on my child yet.

Glad you like your setup Zodiac... I like mine too I had mine installed when they swapped my tranny, charged $100

It does pull hard, very hard, ie no slip!! I get the chatter also at idle, but I've gotten use to it. I love revving it now and then, it sounds like a freaking FERRARI Especially with my exhaust setup!

Ain't it NICE? LOL
All I have to do NOW, is sell my 3 good 19" axis milanos so I can get some new shoes. I'm back on stock 17s and MAN do I HATE those friggin wheels.
If you guys know any body lookin for some replacements holla.
front 19x8.5 +15 Offset, rears: 19x9.5 +20 offset.
I'll give the buyer a good deal, considering milanos are still $335 a piece.

For both the flywheel and clutch????? My dealer quoted me $840 to install this very clutch and flywheel. As a result, its currently on the "back burner" - not sure if I want to drop that much cash.

Did you just take it to a regular transmission shop?

I wonder if there is somewhere else in Central Ohio where I can get it done?

Ok, thanks. Instead of just forgetting about it, I'll do some shopping around for a cheaper price.

Thanks for the review, I have been looking at this setup for a while and it sounds like it will deliver what I’m looking for.

Have you driven it much traffic yet?....i.e. is it tough to drive in traffic with this setup?

Also do you feel gains in all gears or just 1-3rd?

Thanks.

has anyone used the ACT 6 puck copper ceramic disc? would the added durability make it worth putting up with a less than user friendly clutch on a N/A 350Z?
