Default 06' Clutch went BYE BYE

What the hell is wrong with cars these days? I use to bag on my 15 year old skyline and the thing would say "thank you.. Lets go again".

My 06' decided today that it wanted to break. Im not exaclty what sure whats going on yet and dealerships are shut. But my engagement point in the clutch is litterally on the floor. I have to gas it before i even attempt to let the clutch out.

I was out doing some spirited driving due to some nice weather. Few sideways corners. And this happens. I mean cmon. These things are meant to be driven hard. I've driven minivans harder.

Anywho. Really just a venting post, but if anyone has ideas what they think it is untill i can get to a dealership id appreciate any input.

Cheers

Just slap a stronger one in if you intend to keep driving that way.
I can tell you that you can say "they are meant to be driven hard" but unless you are under something like 10K miles, driving it hard is going to wear out your clutch.

Sorry.

Thats all good and well.. But the cars got like 16,000km. About 1000 are from me. And the stupid part, what does sliding sideways have to do with my clutch? I wasnt popin the clutch to get it sideways. Just pure throttle.

I dunno. Personally. Im pretty pissed the car couldnt take it. Guess the age old saying holds true. You want something done/built right. Do it yourself.

Ok. BIG DEVELOPMENT.

I found out my car was a RENTAL before me. The 16,000km before me where rental km's. Now by LAW they have to disclose this. Which they didn't. This definately explains the shot clutch.

Long story short. THERE ****ED. Im going down there tommorow demanding the following.

New Cluch Master Cylinder
New Tranny
New Clutch/Flywheel

Now what other things do you guys think i should be looking for? Clutch and tranny is probably the most noticeable with Rookie rental drivers.

Im PISSED though. Had i known this car was a rental i never would have bought it.

My problem is.. If a dealership is willing to break the law and sell me this car? Would you really trust there mechanics either? Im going to try have any work done at the dealership across town that has a good reputation for there mechanics.

That sucks man. As soon as I read your post above stating the car was used, I knew it was going to be something like this. This is just one of the dangers of buying a used sports car.

I would so fight this.... a rental car? Even if it's a Dodge Neon when it comes to a rental car 90% of the people abuse the **** out of them, now a Z? I'm sure it was abused by many different people.

You said it was law for them to disclose this.. if they broke the law you should have no trouble getting them to take the car back.

No, hookers never lose their clutch.

You have the upper hand. Decide what you want to do before you put it to them.
