I plan on:

1. test pipes
2. nismo or greddy exhaust
3. crank pulley (if avail)
4. pop chargers -if they actually add more power (independant dyno)
4. JWT cams (when they become avail)
6. UTEC (when it becomes avail)

I will easily b over 300rwhp on a dynojet...and should be running 12's easy at the track. I can't wait!

Plus I'm going for suspensions mods: 1. Tein Springs, 2. Nismo Sways 3. GTSpec Front/Rear tie braces
That's a good combo, but to be honest I go back and forth with cold air intakes/short ram/etc. Sure with the hood open or a great air source they can add a bit of hp, but with the hood closed, in theory they can rob power or give you 0 gain.

The cams, exhaust, pipes (or better yet hi flow cats), and Utec are all a good choice.. You'll need the utec and a good tune once you have everything on.. It's a great piggyback system.. Not sure if/when it's available for the 07... But I can find out..

I'm going in the same direction really.. I may put the pop chargers on, but I'd personally just see what happens, I know intensepower has a beta cold air intake system they are working on, so does nismo...

And you didn't hear this from me, but Nismo techs have already installed 2 Cold air intakes (just put the 07 maf in the 06 adapter (fits the same).. and it runs fine without any CEL, but they haven't dyno'd yet..

It cant be all that difficult. I would love to look at one up close and see what I could come up with! i just really want to see if they are going to respond to mods well, or if they are just all tuned out!

I remember reading (I believe from Sharif) that the UR crank pulley that's out for the pre-07 cars will not work on the 07. More waiting...

They come factory tuned pretty well, when the stock 07 kills a bolt-on 03-06 it's not doing too bad.. I'm sure some sort of air induction would yield a 5-10whp gain if done properly... there's no need to change out the headers on this car, though things like the cats/pipes and exhaust really are key.. that and good engine management seeing as how the Nissan ECU is so finicky.

Read my other posts (warning to 07 owners)... the cat's flanges don't fit.. it's a waiting game or a custom job right now...

Sorry but they went right back to Jeff @ WCN. There's a thread link here that shows the difference from Forged performance.

Although its a pointless speed imo, just wonder why Nissan didn't mess with the FD gear.
my '06 hits between 150-155 in fifth....with the extra 500 RPM's, I think it'd go past 160 without the limiter

Trust me... a clutch job for a Z is NOT hard. You want hard... go change an Evo's clutch. Like bacalhau said, it just takes a bit of patience... and some plastic baggies, a marker, the RIGHT tools and a good memory.

I'd like to see what it takes to get the HR over the 300whp mark.

Yeah I'm getting some Turbo XS test pipes installed at Performance Factory (Audible Mayhem's shop) and he already knows there will need to be a custom welding job to install them as the flanges dont match on the header side. Can't wait for before and after dynos.

I cant wait to see the difference as well.

Yea, bboy, I was going to change the clutch on my EVO, the write up on EVOm was really good! It wouldnt have made the actual install any easier though. Pulling out that center diff. looked like a pain in the a**!

What kind of dyno and what correction factor? No way your stock Z is putting down nearly as much TQ as HP...
