its simply just not worth it, way too much money for not enough power. the car is quick yes but fast..... not at all.
how about a 500 hp 600 tq 2500 pound Z with no turbos!! that will be fun to drive..

I don't know. It seems odd that he brought the project this far and can afford to blow up motors for ***** and giggles but he didn't take the time or $$ to put some crawford headers or cams on it or do any headwork

I'd be happy with around 300 rwhp as well ( I don't have the HR though)...I'm just more interested in a NA car. I was hoping this thread would lead to the "formula" (parts and pricing)for that goal. FI is great...but I'm willing to fork out the dough for a reliable NA build if someone figures it out. Maybe I'll have to learn myself......

I was sorry to see this project die too.
But with Sharif and some of the other shops posting numbers over 600 horsepower, it was only a mater of time before Jeremy lost interest in this project.

Let's face it, there is no REAL NA market for the Z to make big power since the motor is already optimized from the factory so well. I'm not expecting much more than about 35hp in addition to my 268 stock with the following mods: intake, test pipes, exhaust, cams, tune (if UTEC ever comes out for it!). Wont be much more NA available unfortunetly. I will be very happy with my 300rwhp NA Z tho...

well the dips were all down low, if you go back and look at the first graphs, the headers and or the rev up lower plenum cause it. very weird..
NA was fun but boring, and thanks priscilla!!!! i might put these pistons back in a motor and do it again for fun. i would definitely do some things different this time....

I put the REVUP plenum back into my Z again just to see what it was like and it sucked. ...took it right back out.
I also tried various exhaust mods that looked good up top, but they also created dips through various other parts of the curve... But when I took it out for a drive, I thought something was literally wrong with the engine. Severe hesitation and a overall sick engine feel. Took the exhaust mod variant out, put in a different one and the engine felt great again.
Tried a long tube CAI and I didn't like it at all. It also creates a squiggle in the curve.
The moral of the story is:
Stay away from anything that creates dips in the curve.
