mmm...os giken is good stuff. The ORC 409D is a nice clutch as well, but I would stick with that STR.

my slightly used TS3B triple came in last week...

I'm getting a scale--and when I do, I'll let u know cloud. The whole unit does seem kind hefty though.

Cloud, did your get your issues w/ you 409d resolved, or are you still having issues?

Good to hear cloud--I know the 409D is a quality setup, especially w/ all options--I have an orc pro-clutch line on the way over from japan as well--did you ever get one? That might help as well.

lol. I know--I just wasn't sure if I was going to sell it or not so I didn't bother taking it out. The 409d is on its way from Japan. When I receive the orc 409d, I'll take actual pictures of both units side by side--I'll need some help on choosing

I highly recommend rhdjapan.com--they gave me a good price on both units and turnaround time is great via ems.

Yeah, I usually get my stuff 3-4 days after ordering them straight from Japan. Having japanese friends is the best!

see: http://www.takakaira.com/asp/table.a...EfFfacBd%60gCb
http://www.otomoto.com.au/osgiken/str_twin_plate.htm

I'm leaning towards the STR--cause its specifically sold as being suprinsingly "streetable" while the 409 seems to be a ***** out racing clutch...

"The New OS Giken STR series can handle up to 550hp, yet retains drivability very close to standard with 30% lighter pedal effort than most multi-plate clutches. By using special new plate and diaphragm designs, OS Giken has achieved ample power handling with just 715kg clamping pressure. This makes the STR series perfect for everyday driving applications, along with most race and drift applications. For drag racing applications, please refer to our competition twin plate line-up.
The clutches come complete with lightweight chrome-moly flywheel, ruby red-anodised billet aluminium clutch cover and the required bearing/carrier set or pull-push converter kit where required"
