does anyone know where or how i can get the 350z's japanese ECU?

 

would u like to get aftermarket ones....like from Mines or Top secret?

I think he mistook the poster using the abbrev. "jap." for the racial term "jap".

 

proper abbreviation of Japan is jpn.

 

you knew what he meant by saying "jap.", he meant to abbreviate japanese, he wasnt trying to insult japanese people, use your brain before you start making stupid statements like the one you just made.

 

in addition, I would like to appolagize for the use of my example. But I was pissed and wrote something I shouldn't have. But it reflected how upset I was, to see that from a website dedicated to a Japanese made car.

Nope, they removed that post so now it looks like I am the one who said it first! Obviously, I was quoting a post above me before it was removed. I also have my remarks just below that in case someone who may be crazy about supras thinks otherwise.

In the interest of making sure Mr. Potato Head is not wrongly accused and since no useful info has been shared in this thread, the whole thing should be deleted.

 

I may be new to this forum, but I have been on car foruims for almost 6 years now and I have seen plenty of the comments that took place in this thread. The written word is cursed by the fact that it is left to individual interpretation. Perhaps the person who made the 'chicken' comment was having a bad day and MISREAD the post (NO excuse for what he posted, but it leaves room for understanding on EVERYONE'S part.) and took it out on the poster. He APPOLOGIZED as well, a true mark of humility for his poor choice of actions. I'm gonna agree with failsaf3 and say that this thread is completely worthless. Delete this one and then repost it again.

For future reference for ALL involved. The PM button is a marvelous thing that, when used properly, can avoid certain situations such as this one. Instead of being a public embarassment for not only those making the comments and those taking offense, but for the 350Z community as a whole. It just becomes one big blemish for all to see. PM someone if you disagree with them, that way it can be settled in private and differences may be sorted out like civilized human beings.

BACK TO THE ORIGIN POST THAT EVERYONE FORGOT.

I've seen ECU's on ebay that CLAIM they're japanese (z33's) but I wouldn't be able to tell the difference as I am new to the 350z's (z33's)

 

Our ECU is coming back again from Japan. The first time we received it , we started and reved up the engnine once, then on the second rev. it went into a failsafe mode and wouldnt rev past 2000 RPM. It started as a brand new US version ECU and was sent over to Japan tp be tweeked. The Japan Z33 ECU will not wrok in a US car.
We should be receiving it this week.

 

I must say, I am excited about this ECU. I can't wait! Maybe this will be the mod we have all been waiting for.

 

Okay guys, I cleaned up the thread a little bit - took out all references to that quote and all responses to it, so if you see your response missing, it's because it only had to do with the offensive post, and since he was warned already, I took them out. Thanks.
