Default bluish white smoke

for the last 2500 miles or so i have been noticing some white smoke coming from my exhaust after deceleration. It only seems to happen after i have been driving for a while. When i come to a stop i get some and then onc ei accel again i get a small cloud and then its gone. Any suggestions?

Check your oil on the dipstick. How does the color look?

You might want to send out some oil for analysis and see if there is fuel or coolant in the oil.

i changed my oil two weeks ago and it was black but not milky so i doubt that there was water or coolant in it

i added my test pipes around the same time that i started noticing the smoke. i figured that it was just residue burning off but it never went away and that was a few thousand miles ago

The Cats you dropped were doing their job and burning out what ever you are seeing now, Id be curious to see them. Blue is generally an indication of oil. I would do a compression and leakdown first just to see where they are at. How many miles do you have on it ?Keep in mind also that just because you dont have water in your oil dosent mean that there may not be a head gasket problem. Do a pressure chk on your cooling system, including a zero gage reading to see if you get a rise in pressure

how do you do a compression and leakdown test, and about how much would they cost a mechanic to do?
