Actually, Nissan's official method is to raise the car on a lift then use an engine/trans jack to lower it down. I guess that's why you can't find a place for a lift hook on top.

You can buy these plastic things at autozone to dissconnect your ac lines. They are like 3$ for a package of them in diffrent sizes. To lift the engine you lift it by the headers at least that is how i lifed mine when it was out of the car.

Default Engine removal

I just pulled the engine and tranny on my G35. I used one of the top bolts holding the bellhousing to the motor and one of the longish thick bolts on the front of the engine. I had no front end on the car so the engine just came out the front.
You can also disconnect the steering shaft at the rack, unbolt the lower control arms from the crossmember and drop the engine and tranny out the bottom by unbolting the engine crossmember.

Also, you might want to unbolt the AC compressor from the engine and leave it in the engine bay off to the side. That way you don't have to recharge the AC system.

got the engine out, i just swung the condensor/radiator out of the way, but then it fell and snapped one of the AC lines. Do those plastic autozone things look like little round clips with tabs on them?

Yea they are round, you can use the fuel line or ac ones they work the same. The fuel line ones are supposed to be easier to use they are the same sizes. Just ask them for the plastic quick dissconects.
