Righty tighty, lefty loosey.
If you can't remember the most fundamental rule of fasteners, do you really want to be tearing apart your engine?
Do you have a torque wrench to put the bolt back on with? Do you know how tight to make it? Do you know the special extra step you have to take when tightening it?

I've taken off the crank pulley and put it back on atleast 3 times... nothing special. Rightey-tightey, leftey loosey as stated. Maybe he really needs to install an underdrive pulley ASAP.
If you can't get it off, you can put a breaker bar between the ground and the crank bolt and then just crank the engine a couple times.. don't FULLY crank it, just let the starter torque it loose by turning the ignition for like a second.

If its your first time taking of this particular pulley, prepare for the worst. It is usually tight as hell, and only the most creative approaches can crack that thing off.
It's one of those things looks really easy, but can be a challenging task. Let us know how it goes.
