Default Clutch feels wierd.

Ok, so I did the clutch engagement mod found here: https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/128253-high-clutch-want-to-lower-your-clutch-engagement-point.html

Only lowered the engagement by 2 turns, instead of 4, like some people did. This seemed to create excess play in the pedal, after the clutch is fully engaged, so I adjusted the bolt that stops the pedal, so that it doesn't come as far back as it used to. It's more lined up with the brake pedal now.

Now, in the morning, when I leave for work, the clutch feels a little spongy, but seems to firm up when the engine warms up. I'm not sure if I noticed that prior to modding, but it does seem kinda weird.

The clutch feels fine once the engine warms up. No problems with shifting. It's all smooth, and effortless. Even when it feels spongy, I still don't have any problems shifting.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

did you bleed the air out of your clutch line?

I wouldn't have messed with that unless it was acting up..... you start tinkering with that kinda stuff and your car will never be the same. Good luck mang.

no, I never messed with the line, so there shouldn't be any air in it. I thought, maybe it was because I lowered the clutch stop too far. When I lowered the engagement, there seemed to be more play in the pedal, esp, after the clutch was let out, so I shortened the travel distance, trying to minimize the "play" in the pedal. Maybe I'll try setting it back a bit and see what happens.

Going thru the same thing. Adjusted it. Love were it's at now but the clutch doesnt seem spongy just seems to get stuck at the bottom every now and then. I was reading about bleeding the system. Was gonna try that out.

Look into the D-Wolf clutch kit that THE TECH is selling.
