I know that HKS released forged pistons and rod for the Z in the Tokyo Auto Show.

I checked the hks-usa web site but they don't have info there.

I heard Sept/Oct from Greddy at IAS, I would still bet on this date. Hope an EMS is out by then.

I don't think people should lower the compression from whatever the stock is for a Z (10:1? 10.5:1?, I have no idea), but I don't think 8.5:1 is a good idea. I do not own a 350z yet, but I'm contemplating owning one. I think I might wait till the next year batch comes out. Anyways, I don't want to **** you guys off, but I own a 91' MR2 turbo and a 70' 240Z. I think people should stay in the 9.0-10.0 compression area so you can get some low end torque in there all throughout the powerband. Get rid of ur knock/pinging/detonation with a good intercooler, and water injection for 6+ psi boosts. Of course making sure the timing and fuel is important. I've been a boost junkie for 5 years now. Just my 2 cents.

Stock is 10.3 : 1 . Yeah, I'll take 9 : 1 too, whatever. I just want a significant drop from 10.3, and forged. You're right though, I do like the low end grunt on this car, not awesome, but it accelerates well from 1700 rpms on up. I've talked about water injection here...what a great way to keep temps down. If I get FI, I'll be getting a custom injection kit to go along with.

but Id rather have them put in some maps for at leats up to 10 psi.
True, true. Yeah, they could sort of make these maps you know, "at your own risk." But with 110 octane, I don't see a problem with 10 psi.
