Thanks Dave, Ziggy and others for bringing this thread back on topic and keeping it professional.

My car is due for new plugs and this seems promissing. Although I'm still skeptical, I'll just have to take the risk.

I've asked the local shops in my area if they are willing to offer a dyno. Once I get an offer, I will buy a set and see.

I think its the new DC sports magazine, I will have to double check. It has 3 dyno graphs in their on these plugs. One was are car. I think an 04-05. It pick up around 5hp and 10 overall, but just doing plugs. I think they did an evo too. I will double check when I get home tonight on the numbers

To be honest we chose to test these plugs because we were very skeptical about their claims and since Pulstar has bought a few ads in our mag we wanted to see for ourselves if this was legit or not, because what we don't want or need is advertisers posting false claims in our magazine and attempting to use our good reputation to their advantage. We'd rather lose advertisers who make crap products and instead focus our energy on building relationships with companies that make the good stuff. This is better for us as a magazine and better for our readers. If we promote crap products, we lose readers, which loses us our good advertisers, and in the end we have nothing left. So believe me, I have NOTHING to gain from reporting falsely positive results and EVERYTHING to lose by doing

If thats true then why do you allow Carsponsership.com to advertise, thats the biggest scam going!!!!!! and while were talking about the credibility of Modified Magazine tell me why when I signed up for a years subscription at Sema I only recieved half the issues? I just got my last Turbo mag this month and I signed up with them the same day at the same show.
If these plugs are what you say they are (and you are the one coming on here promoting them) then have them tested with a known reputable shop from this forum, not some unknown guy from Canada who just joined to back your story. Send them to The Perfomance Factory, Forged Performance, GTM Motorsports or MRC Motorsports, those guys will tell the truth, This forum has run out many a scam be it member or vendor so ya if you can sell us, you can sell anybody! And to say that the magazine doesnt benefit from its advertisers...................well I'll leave that one alone......we are not the 18 year old Honda punks here!

+1.

Do they make them in 1-step colder for FI engines? They would be a better bargain than the HKS DLI.

Magazines are about 1 thing. Advertisers Dollars. The advertiser pays them to run the adds, so modified will hype the plug.

I am sure this plug will have the same legal issues in the future as splitfire did.

Import mag just did a test and tune on a G35 and only got 5 hp difference. This months mag go check it out. I say it is marginal at best. People have been putting higher energy spark systems on their cars for years. Everyone know that it help smooth out a power band but does not make crazy power.

I just installed these plugs last week. And let me tell you that the gains are even better than claimed(20whp to be exact) haha. jk. Prob only bout 2-3 to be honest. Anyways I'm a little skeptical of the quality of these pulse plugs since the first one I installed BROKE IN HALF Barely snug it in and the ****er broke. Immediately I called them and left a message on their voicemail. After that happened I was skeptical of even installing them but figured since I spent like $170 for them might as well. The next 5 went in without breaking. I made sure to snugly tighen them slowly this time. SO now I'm running 5 pulstar and 1 stock Plat NGK. At start up I immediately noticed the exhaust note deepened a bit(Might be my imagination) and second during full throttle my intake whistles like a pissed off elephant. Before the install you could barely hear the intake(JWT pop charger, even when I installed the JWT). Like I said I believe I prob gain 2-3 from 3-6rpm. Fuel Eco went up to 22-24 city during normal driving.(shift at about 3rpm)Keeps changing. During full throttle I get 18-20. The next morning I get a call from one of the sales rep letting me know that my new pulse plug is being shipped out. I was pretty happy about that. Overall I am satisfied with the pulse plugs. A little overexageration about the 10peak hp gain the modified mag though. If you read that issue the removed the front bumper of the z and had the fan blowing. Who is to say they didnt dyno the z(stock plugs) w bumper and w/o fan?? Then again I am still only running 5 pulse plugs and 1 ngk

^^^ I am puzzled why plugs would make your intake whistle. One has nothing to do with the other. My guess is you have a leak since you probably had to take the intake apart to install them. Check you intake and make sure everything is secure as spark plugs have nothing to do with the tone of your intake.

BTW, 2-3whp is not enough to detect by even the most sensitive butt dyno Ever hear of the placebo effect? Hope you like the like plugs.
