everybody that f/i's there car always wants more power in the long run. they up the boost and blow there motors. the car is setup on a higher compression, because it is n/a, when a turbo rebuild is done, they use lower compression pistons, etc. a built motor will cost about as much as a turbo setup. and having a build motor and a proper tune is essential if you want your car to run properly. whats another $1000 in tuning when you already have 12k spent on a properly done setup. you'll have a piece of mind and a faster car at that.
if you really want your z to be reliable, a built engine is a must. for a stock block, stick with the turbonetics or centrifugal supercharger such as vortech, etc. but remember, a/f ratio's are supposed to be balanced out, and if you up the boost, your bringing in more air, yes, but your also leaning out the fuel, which can lead to detonation. and as we all know, detonation = engine failure.
