Default Mobile 1 15W50 extended performance

I was at autozone picking up my usual mobile 1 0W40 and I saw M1 15W50 extended performance oil. Has anybody here ever used it? Any ideas if this would be good with a built engine/tt setup.

I have been using 15w50 for the last 2 weeks and it is toooo thick IMO, drop me by like 4 mpg

I am having a hard time finding a happy medium. I was using the Eneos 10w40 and it was WAY to thin. I have never had burn off until I used that oil. So I switched to the 15w50 and not happy with effect on MPG and the amount of time it take for the oil pressure to normalize.

You could always try the castrol 5w50 stuff, not really easy to find though, except at a BMW dealer.

Hot Summers and 60,000 miles got me to go to the 10/30 I saw the 15/50 and considered it for a few seconds but blew it off. Oil pressure normalization is not a worry other than what you already know.....Its a tad heavy.

As long as you stay in same brand and family you can mix and match different viscosities to achieve any test numbers you want as the molecules slide between each other..................12.7w42.5 anyone?
