Default D.I.Y. - Transmission Swap?

Has anyone ever swapped an AT to a MT in either a 350z or G35 themselves? I know GT Motorsports has done it
(https://my350z.com/forum/product-announcements/278653-gt-motorsports-5a-t-to-6m-t-conversion-pics.html), and although it looks like they did it flawlessly it's a bit out of my price range. I was curious as to if anyone has done it themselves? And what kind of work was involved? As well as how much the total swap cost?

Thanks!

probally be most cost effective to just sell your AT and get a MT Z imo.

Technosquare did a 6speed manual swap into an M35.

they took all the donor parts off a wrecked 350z..

the only thing they have left to do is get the driveshaft the right length...

i think they said trouble was to get the clutch master cylinder mounted and changin the ECU to manual..

Anything can be done yourself with enough time and money. It just comes down to what you believe your own time is worth to tackle a job like this.

I know it would not be more cost effective. I have done a few tranny swaps and the most I have spent on the complete swap was 3,800.000- that was all new excluding the tranny which only had 24,000 miles on it. As said, it does take a lot of time and some funding but can be accomplished at a considerably economical price.
Do good research and gather all your materials first and find a good time to bring your car down for a few days.

yeah, that M35 has been there for a while! it's so dusty, and the fact that it's outside after all these fires won't get it any cleaner!
