Default Would you buy used?

Hey i just wanted to know what the normal consensus was on used engine/ exhaust parts. I would assume certain parts hold up better than others whereas other parts should only be bought new owing to the strain which is put on it by the driver.

My main question has to do with exhaust. There are a lot of used stillen and nismo exhaust systems for sale at like half the price of new. and i was wondering if those would be good purchases depending on how many miles were put on them. Also a nismo exhaust comes from a turbo'd G and was wondering if the turbo would put greater strain on the exhaust..

Exhaust is my main concern but i'd appreciate your opinions on any other used parts for our Z. thanks

nothing wrong with buying used stuff. buyer just needs to beware, just like anything else.

Yes. There are components that I would not buy used: electronic and moving parts. The ECU and air conditioning condenser are examples.

I would buy non-moving parts, like exhaust, used.

^I agree with Davidv. If your looking at an intake, plenum spacer, exhuast, basically any pipe or tube, then I would consider buying used based on the condition. As far as suspension mods or pulleys or cams, etc... be careful.

usually many exhausts are purchased used, or traded for other used. but there's no problem with it, might even be better because you wont have to take time breaking it in =P
