alright guys im posting this up for a buddy of mine back home thats having trouble with his Z.

anyways heres the story to the best of my knowledge.


My friend has an lemans 2005. long story short they were messing around with hooking up something electronic to the car, im not sure if it was exterior or interior (lights or something or maybe a stereo system). anyways, something happend to the point of which now the car will not turn over. no fuses are blown and the car still turns on, but as stated before the car will not turn over and the windows will not go down.

can anyone shed some light on this for him.

I have not personally seen the car to try and diagnose this just by what he told me on the phone.

if anyone needs anymore information please let me know i will try to gather what i can.

how did they check the fuses??? the best way to check is with a light tester... is the battery giving you voltage... check the alternator to see if it is getting power... also check the starter too. those are the basics...

 

There's a lot of fuses and relays to check... Time to get out the FSM and start with an accessory that doesn't work and work backwards till you reach the + terminal of the battery!

 

ok so here is some more info.

all the fuses/box was checked properly he actually works at a mazda dealership per my understanding now. I will check with him on the alternator.

 

were the doors open a long time? maybe the battery is drained.i hate when weak batterys come in and you work under the dash for like 5 minutes and the friggin thing is dead!
